|workshops & retreats|
I love doing workshops for groups--there's a particular kind of energy and excitement generated when a group of writers or word lovers comes together and start unleashing ink on the page.
When I facilitate, I am committed to creating fun, productive, and sacred spaces. Contact me with any questions or to request your own unique event.

Discover the Book You Are Meant to Write
This class is not about answers. It's about kick-ass questions.

A Place to Curl Up: Winter Solstice Writing Retreat EveningDecember 19, 2013 6:30 – 9:00 p.m.My Home in SE Portland
Registration Fee: $65; includes retreat and dinnerRegistration deadline: December 12.Register here.
More than once in the last two weeks, I’ve heard myself and others express a longing to just curl up in a ball somewhere away from it all and rest for a while.
I’ve crafted this retreat evening as an answer to that yearning. For a whole evening, we’ll cultivate coziness, through shared writing, private reflection and simple ritual. You’ll have the chance to get quiet enough to hear yourself think, and to relax enough that you don’t have to think at all. And there’s more to savor:
My friend, the earthy and elegant Paula Austin will be catering the event, lovingly providing a nourishing and delicious meal for us. Paula trained with the late Robert Reynolds at the Chef Studio in classical French and Italian cooking, and she’s all about loving your food: where it comes from, how you prepare it, and who you enjoy it with.
To ensure that the evening is as nourishing and cozy as possible, I’m opening the retreat just 8 participants. If you feel called to attend, I encourage you to reserve your spot now.
